Job summary

FXI is seeking a dependable assembler/packer to read work orders, apply adhesive, assemble and package parts to customer specifications. You will also read measuring devices and lift up to 50 pounds while standing for an 8-hour shift.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to communicate in English, and adherence to 5S and safety policies on the production floor.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and follow work orders to apply adhesive, assemble and pack parts per customer specifications.
  • Able to read measuring devices and interpret measurements accurately.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Wrap, bale, package, operate press, and maintain housekeeping in assigned area.
  • Read and interpret work orders and customer specifications to ensure correct assembly and packaging.
  • Follow written or verbal instructions from Group Leads and maintain 5S and safety policies.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Position Purpose

Assemble s, pack s, load s, fabricates parts and /or unload s materials

Essential duties:
  • Specific tasks may include: wrapping, baling, packaging, press operation, and housekeeping
  • Reads and understand work orders to accurately apply adhesive, assemble and pack fabricated parts according to customer specifications
  • Understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions regarding customer specifications
  • Verifies conformance to specifications using a tape measure.
  • Understand and follow written and/or verbal direction from Group Leads
  • Maintain daily 5s in general area of responsibility
  • Follow 5s and safety policies and procedures
  • Other duties, as assigned
Knowledge, skills, experience:
  • Able to read, write and speak English
  • Able to lift and carry 50lbs
  • Able to stand and walk for 8 hours
  • Able to read measuring devices
Education / Certifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent

This position requires the wearing of Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) consisting of eye protection while on the production floor as well as hearing protection in designated areas.

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, regularly exposed to noise levels in the work environment which are moderate to loud, and exposed to temperature ranging from moderate to high depending on the time of year and location of the work being done.
