Job summary

Animal Medical Center of New England in Nashua, New Hampshire, is seeking a General Practice Veterinary Technician to join PetVet Care Centers. The role supports hospital operations with dedicated patient care, diagnostic procedures, anesthesia assistance, nursing care, and accurate medical records.

Qualifications include a CVT/LVT/RVT/LVMT license, 3+ years in a veterinary hospital, and 18+ years of age; 4+ years preferred. Schedule is full-time with 4 shifts per week and rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Must hold CVT, LVT, RVT or LVMT license and be 18+ years old.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a veterinary hospital.
• Proficient in vaccine timelines, venipuncture, IV catheters and radiology.

Responsibilities

• Determine animal requirements through examinations, care plans, tests and imaging.
• Care for patients: vital signs, medications, bandaging, and nursing care.
• Assist during examinations and operations by arranging supplies and restraining patients as directed.
• Maintain medical records and communicate with pet owners as directed by the veterinarian.
• Maintain a safe, clean hospital environment and sterilize instruments.
• Fill prescriptions and document medication administration, including controlled drugs.
