Job summary

PetVet Care Centers is recruiting a General Practice Veterinarian for our Louisa, Kentucky hospital. The role focuses on high-quality veterinary care, client communication, and collaboration with a skilled team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.

You will work closely with the Hospital Manager and Regional Manager to deliver top-tier veterinary services and ensure patient well-being across a comprehensive service range.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an accredited college or university.
• Current State Veterinary License.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
• Excellent surgical and dental skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality veterinary care.
• Excellent communication with medical staff and clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Communicate clearly with clients and educate them on care.
• Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Manage pharmacy duties and controlled substances protocols.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Collaborate with Hospital Manager on priorities.
• Participate in practice management updates and training.
