The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Physician Assistant to support hematology/oncology services in an inpatient and outpatient setting. The role involves patient histories, exams, bone marrow biopsies, and coordinating care with attending physicians.
Open to new graduates with training provided. Requires NYS PA licensure, NCCPA certification, and current BLS/ACLS. Proficiency in EPIC, MS Word, and PowerPoint is expected.
As a Physician Assistant you will perform a variety of functions and technical procedures necessary for consultation, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and outcome evaluation for patients who are consulted for Hematology/Oncology service inpatient or seen in clinic outpatient at Elmhurst Hospital. As per proposed team model, each PA will be paired with an attending to work directly with.
-Bachelor’s Degree, required.
-Open to new graduates, will train.
-Licensed Physician Assistant (LPA) by the New York State Department of Education, required.
-Current NCCPA Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), required.
-Current BLS and ACLS certification, required.
-MS word basic, PowerPoint basic, EPIC.
-Excellent written and oral communication, commitment to medical education/willingness to learn in rapidly growing field with new treatment advances, time management in high volume practice/consult heavy service, critical thinking, ability to prioritize urgent issues.

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $68.52 - $91.36 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
