  • EPIC EMR experience is a plus.

Description

Cardiac Physician Assistant will support the clinical, quality, and research functions of the cardiology department under the supervision of Board-Certified Cardiologists.

Responsibilities
  1. Working with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans for patients across inpatient and outpatient cardiology
  2. Assist physicians with consenting patients for cardiac procedures. May assist with cardiac procedures under supervision of a physician.
  3. Assessing and diagnosing cardiac conditions in patients.
  4. Helping to perform cardiac testing and interpreting results.
  5. Prescribing medication and administering treatment.
  6. Counseling, education and follow up of patients with cardiac conditions
  7. Helping with departmental research and quality initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor?s Degree
  • Current New York State registration as a Physician Assistant
  • Current certification issued by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Two years of inpatient medicine or cardiology experience
  • ACLS and BLS certified
  • Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills required
  • EPIC EMR experience is a plus

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $68.5182 - $91.3576 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
