Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient neurological care to adults.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage diverse neurological disorders.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans following current standards of care.
  • Supervise and educate medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in departmental conferences, lectures, and academic activities.
  • Engage in clinical, educational, or research activities supporting the department's mission.
  • Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in the EMR.
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
  • Maintain licensure, certifications, credentialing, and CME requirements.

Summary

The Department of Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a qualified physician with training in adult neurology. The successful candidate will be appointed at a faculty level commensurate with experience and achievement. The successful candidate will provide clinical care for adults with neurological disorders.

Job Duties
  • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient neurological care to patients.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a variety of neurological disorders.
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans in accordance with current standards of care.
  • Supervise and educate medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare learners.
  • Participate in departmental educational conferences, lectures, and academic activities.
  • Participate in clinical, educational, or research activities that support the department's academic mission.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
  • Serve on departmental and institutional committees as assigned.
  • Maintain all required licensure, certifications, credentialing, and continuing medical education requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree
  • Must have successfully completed residency training in an ACGME-accredited program
  • Board-eligible/board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
  • Eligible for or licensed to practice medicine in the State of Texas.
