Target is hiring for General Merchandise roles in Washington State. The position supports a fast-paced, guest‑driven environment with responsibilities spanning greeting guests, restocking, merchandising setup, and ensuring product availability on the floor and backroom.

This role emphasizes guest service, teamwork, and flexible scheduling to meet store priorities, including peak hours and weekends. Training is provided to develop product knowledge and operational procedures.

Qualificações

• Guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest‑first culture across the store.
• Experience in retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency and improvement.
• Executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals.

Responsabilidades

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments
• Greet
• 10ft: be friendly – smile, make eye contact, or wave
• 4ft: greet the guest, smile and initiate a warm, helpful interaction
• Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude
• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience
• Execute daily tasks assigned to you by your leader to help achieve goals that align with business priorities including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, merchandise set up and maintenance, pricing activities, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas.
• If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures.
• Learn and execute operational procedures, such as setting and organizing merchandise, managing product accuracy and stock levels, and maintaining sales floor areas, affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Follow all Target policies and safety procedures, adhere to role‑specific guidelines (e.g., food safety, pricing), and help maintain a safe, compliant workplace by reporting and correcting hazards.
• Support guest services such as back‑up cashier, and digital fulfillment processes (such as picking and packing orders or delivering pickup orders to guests) and maintain compliance culture while executing those duties, such as federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
• All other duties based on business needs.
