Job summary

Meijer is seeking an entry level Stocking Clerk to deliver exceptional customer service with product knowledge and friendly attitude. You will handle merchandising, stocking, and routine store tasks to ensure shelves are ready and inviting for customers.

You will stock shelves, move products from pallets, and maintain store cleanliness while interacting with customers and supporting overnight preparation for the day ahead. This is a hands‑on, team environment.

Qualifications

• Entry level role in a retail setting focused on stocking and customer service.
• Comfortable using basic technology and following procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of grocery products.
• Move product from pallets to shelf locations efficiently.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard in back‑room areas.
• Work with leadership to ensure areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your work ensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

You’ll:

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products

• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately

• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back‑room areas

• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed

• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

What You Bring

• You’re comfortable learning and using basic technology
