Job summary

Million Air in Richmond, Virginia, is seeking a General Mechanic responsible for preventative maintenance and minor repairs on various equipment and vehicles. The role requires experience in diesel and gasoline engine troubleshooting and a clean driving record. Candidates should be able to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in all weather conditions. Qualifications

• Experienced in Diesel and Gasoline engine troubleshooting and repair preferred.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventative maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
• Perform minor repairs on all types of aircraft-related equipment.
• Work under hazardous conditions including noise and chemicals.

The general mechanic is responsible to provide preventative maintenance and minor repairs on all types of equipment and vehicles

Reporting Relationship

This position reports to the GSE Manager

Work Environment

This position works outside in all types of weather conditions and direct contact with both moving and non-moving aircraft. This position may be exposed to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery.

Physical Demands

1. Must be able to lift 75 pounds occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds frequently
2. Possible exposure to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery
3. Outside work in all types of weather conditions.
4. Position requires bending, lifting, walking, stooping, squatting, gripping and climbing a ladder.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a non-exempt position

This position includes shift work which requires working evenings and weekends, and on scheduled company holidays.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Education, Experience, and Eligibility Qualifications

1. Experienced in Diesel and Gasoline engine trouble shooting and repair preferred.
2. Acceptable driving record
3. Ability to pass a background check
