Work Experience

5 years in maintenance experience; must be mechanically inclined including experience working with minimal supervision and multi-tasking. Experience using all hand tools and power tools required to properly perform job duties. Experience troubleshooting and problem‑solving equipment issues.

Certifications

Valid driver’s license from state of residence

• Healthcare experience
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, heating/ventilation/air conditioning/refrigeration (HVAC‑R).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Skills to read, write and understand schematic drawings, blueprints, specifications, etc. Have a will do attitude.

Job Duties

• Performs general repairs and troubleshooting.
• Performs daily maintenance inspections/repairs in assigned area.
• Utilizes effective judgment and decision making skills when performing job duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Adheres to company policies.
• Completes Preventive Maintenance (PM) inspections according to schedule.
• Follows up on completed/current assignments.

Physical and Environmental Demands

Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work.

Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste.
