Job summary

Confidential is hiring a General Manager to lead a high-volume, low-mix Swiss-machining site in Westford, MA. You will own the P&L, drive throughput, and implement machine-monitoring software to improve performance.

The role requires 10+ years in manufacturing leadership, a Bachelor's degree, and strong capability in cost, capacity planning and ISO 9001 quality systems. It is an on-site leadership position with potential cross-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, business or a related field.
• 10+ years of manufacturing experience with 5+ years in leadership and P&L responsibility.
• Experience managing a manufacturing operation or business unit with P&L accountability.
• Strong understanding of machining economics, labor and overhead utilization, capacity planning, quoting and capital investment.
• Experience interpreting financial statements, budgets, forecasts and performance metrics.
• Experience leading salaried and hourly employees.

Responsibilities

• Own the site's P&L, cash flow, operating plan and forecast.
• Drive throughput, machine utilization and labor efficiency across a Swiss-machining operation.
• Use machine-monitoring software and a data-driven approach to performance management.
• Ensure quotations reflect true cost, capacity and profitability.
• Maintain ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and audit readiness.
• Lead customer relationships and collaborate with the group's commercial organization.
• Build, coach and retain a capable leadership team.
