Job summary

RaceTrac is seeking a General Manager who will lead up to 45 employees, drive profitability, and create unforgettable guest experiences in a fast-paced store environment. You will recruit, train, mentor, and motivate the team, oversee store operations, safety, scheduling, and payroll, while analyzing metrics to optimize sales and margins.

• 5+ years of retail, food service, or restaurant management experience.

What You’ll Do

• Lead & Develop a Winning Team

• Create a positive and engaging work environment where team members feel valued Drive Store Performance & ProfitabilityExecute operational plans to meet sales, labor, and profitability goalsAnalyze sales, margin, and labor reports to identify opportunities for improvementOperationalize marketing strategies to boost food sales and promotionsMonitor inventory, cash handling, and store expenses to optimize financial resultsEnsure High Standards in Food & SafetyLead by example in upholding good safety and sanitation standardsConduct regular quality checks to ensure food and beverage offerings meet, or exceed, expectationsTrain and enforce compliance with food handling, safety regulations, and company policiesMaintain a Clean & Organized StoreEnsure the store is always clean, well-stocked, and visually appealingProactively address maintenance needs and vendor relationshipsOversee scheduling and payroll execution to ensure proper staffing levels

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of retail, food service, or restaurant management experience (High-volume preferred)
• Strong leadership, coaching and team-building skills
• Ability to analyze business metrics and make data-driven decisions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial reporting
• Knowledge of labor laws and staffing best practices

Must-Haves for This Role

• High School Diploma or GED, in progress or completed
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks, as needed
• Must obtain and maintain Manager Food Handler certification (and alcohol server permit, if required)
