Job summary

Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc. seeks a Restaurant General Manager to lead a high-volume kitchen and dining operation. You will oversee staff, ensure safety, drive sales, and uphold quality while managing budgets and daily reporting.

This role requires strategic leadership and a hands-on approach to delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will collaborate with the GM and team to optimize operations, control costs, and maintain a safe, clean workspace.

Qualifications

• 3+ years restaurant management experience.
• Experience managing $1M+ annual sales.
• Experience with budgets and P&L statements.
• Excellent communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained kitchen, with food safety procedures.
• Drive sales through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and food preparation.
• Assist the General Manager with task execution, safety practices, scheduling, cash integrity, talent acquisition and development, and daily/weekly/monthly reporting.
• Coach and develop staff in preparing and packaging customer orders to meet service expectations.
• Understand financial reporting including profit and loss statements to affect business changes.
• Address customer feedback and improve the dining experience.

You will lead staff to provide exceptional customer service, managing processes, and executing strategies to enhance sales and customer satisfaction. Job Functions:

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained kitchen, along with adherence to proper food safety procedures
• Drive sales of products and services through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and food preparation
• Assist the General Manager of the facility with proper task execution and completion, follow effective safety practices, schedule and cash integrity, talent acquisition and development, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
• Work alongside team members to coach and develop in preparing and packaging customer orders in a timely manner and to maximize customer service expectations
• Understandfinancial reporting which includes profit and loss statements to affect business changes and capitalize on opportunities
• Address customer feedback and work to improve the overall dining experience

Experience:

• 3+ years restaurant management experience
• 3+ years managing operations with an annual sales volume of $1M+
• 3+ years affecting and deciphering budgets and P&L statements

Skills and Demands:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer satisfaction focus
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail
• Intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Frequent lifting/moving of items over 50 pounds or more
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening
