Job summary

Wheely is launching in Florida and seeking a General Manager to build the operation from the ground up. You will hire the founding team, secure the fleet and chauffeurs, and establish the Florida P&L and brand.

You’ll report to the CEO and collaborate with the New York team as the US rollout accelerates. With Miami as the regional HQ, you’ll drive service standards, client growth, and partnerships while expanding across South Florida.

Qualifications

• 7+ years total experience with 5+ years in high-growth tech, investment banking, strategy consulting, VC or PE.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Professional fluency in English; based in Miami.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM or Economics from a leading university.

Responsibilities

• P&L responsibility for Florida.
• Off-line product: pricing, availability and fleet composition.
• Lead four local teams: Driver Operations, Quality & Training, Sales, Marketing.
• Launch and expand across Miami, Palm Beach, and key seasonal moments.
• Drive business development and partnerships; collaborate with central Product.
• Navigate regulatory landscape; represent Wheely to press and stakeholders.

About The Role

Wheely is going live in Florida, and we're hiring the General Manager who will get us there. You'll join with roughly three months to launch: hiring the founding team, securing the fleet and chauffeurs, building the operation before the first ride. From there, you own the P&L and the brand in Florida: service standards, growth, clients, team. You'll report directly to our CEO and work alongside the team behind our New York launch. We're accelerating our US rollout on the back of New York, where growth has run ahead of plan, and Florida is next. With Miami as our regional HQ and operations across South Florida, the market case is straightforward: the local UHNW population has doubled over the past five years, demand runs year-round rather than seasonally, and the hospitality culture is closer to Wheely's standards than almost anywhere else in the country.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM or Economics from a leading university


• Minimum 7 years of total experience, including 5+ years in either high-growth tech, investment banking, strategy consulting, VC or private equity


• Excellent leadership and team management skills


• Strong analytical / problem-solving skills


• Professional fluency in English


• Based in Miami
