Love's Travel Stops is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily operations across retail, fuel, and food service segments. You will lead a team, ensure safety and cleanliness, and drive sales through effective inventory and merchandising practices.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the General Manager, budget oversight, and reporting, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in retail, travel stop or c-store, big box, grocery, or department store management.
• 2+ years managing operations with annual sales volume of $2 million+.
• 2+ years affecting and deciphering budgets and P&L statements.
• 2+ years supervising and training 5–10+ employees.
• Intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across multiple business lines (retail, fuel, restaurant, fresh kitchen, truck care).
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well‑maintained facility through inspections and upkeep.
• Drive sales through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and merchandising standards.
• Assist the General Manager with task execution, cash integrity, and reporting (daily/weekly/monthly).
• Analyze profit and loss statements and implement changes to capture opportunities.
• Collaborate with managers on talent acquisition and people development.

Job Functions:

• Hands-on responsibility of multiple business operations up to and potentially including retail store, fuel, restaurant, fresh kitchen, and truck care.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility through restroom and shower cleanliness, facilities, equipment maintenance, and safety checks.
• Drive sales of products and services through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and merchandising standard.
• Assist the General Manager with proper task execution and completion, schedule and cash integrity, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
• Understand financial reporting to include analyzing profit and loss statements and affecting change to capture and capitalize on opportunities.
• Collaborate with managers in the efforts of talent acquisition.

Experience:

• 2+ years in retail, travel stop or c-store, big box, grocery, or department store management.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.

• Physical Demands: Regular talking and hearing. Active involvement requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. Frequent lifting/moving of items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required.
