Love’s Travel Stops is seeking an Operations Manager to lead and oversee daily operations, driving efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction across multiple store components including fuel, retail, and food services.

You will supervise a team, manage processes, and execute strategies to grow sales while ensuring safety and profitable performance. The role emphasizes development, collaboration, and operational excellence within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in retail or travel stop, c-store, big box, grocery, or department store management.
• 2+ years managing operations with annual sales of $2M+.
• 2+ years overseeing budgets and P&L statements.
• 2+ years supervising and training 5–10+ employees.
• Intermediate MS Office skills including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on responsibility for multiple business operations up to and including retail store, fuel, restaurant, fresh kitchen, and truck care.
• Ensure a safe, clean, well-maintained facility through restroom/shower cleanliness, facilities, equipment maintenance, and safety checks.
• Drive sales through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and merchandising standards.
• Assist the General Manager with task execution, scheduling, cash integrity, and daily/weekly/monthly reporting.
• Understand financial reporting, analyze P&L statements, and drive opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with managers on talent acquisition.

Job Functions:

• Understand financial reporting to include analyzing profit and loss statements and affecting change to capture and capitalize on opportunities.
• Collaborate with managers in the efforts of talent acquisition.

Experience:

• 2+ years in retail, travel stop or c-store, big box, grocery, or department store management.
• 2+ years managing operations with an annual sales volume of $2+million.
• 2+ years affecting and deciphering budgets and P&L statements.
• 2+ years supervising and training 5-10+ employees.
• Intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Skills and Demands:

• Ability to work various shift times to include days, afternoons, evenings, nights, occasional overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer satisfaction focus.
• Exceptional customer service, positive rapport building, expert salesmanship, and ensuring satisfaction by managing operations and employee-vehicle deployment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective teamwork skills.
• Physical Demands: Regular talking and hearing. Active involvement requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. Frequent lifting/moving of items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required.
