Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager III – Distribution to lead warehouse operations in the United States, driving efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction. The role focuses on strategic process development, team leadership, and P&L oversight.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of managerial experience, 2+ years in warehousing/distribution, strong staff management, and WMS experience. This is a leadership role within DHL’s contract logistics network.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, providing coaching, guidance, and support while developing a strong team culture.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, and oversee operational and personnel activities to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient environment.
• Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), automation, and other technology to track inventory, monitor performance metrics, and identify improvements.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services while managing the site under the commercial agreement.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other KPIs to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead customer relationships by maintaining close daily contact to ensure strong connections and customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for the site’s profit and loss (P&L), which is directly influenced by customer relationships.
• Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Review (MBR/QBR) to customer, leveraging strong team collaboration.

The General Manager III role has a national salary range of $95,000 – $120,000.

Required Education and Experience
