Job summary

Global Industrial Company seeks a seasoned Distribution Center leader to oversee high-volume fulfillment operations and drive continuous improvement across the DC network.

You will manage inbound/outbound flow, build strong stakeholder relationships, and lead a team to achieve cost, service, and safety targets while ensuring compliance and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 10 years in distribution and fulfillment leadership with at least 3 years in the top position within a distribution center.
• Strong background in supply chain systems (i.e. WMS, Inventory Planning, ERP, etc.)
• Experienced in project management and demonstrated success in process improvement.
• A proven track record of building and developing strong supply chain organization and aligning internal resources with external customer expectations.
• Must possess outstanding communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Must possess strong leadership and employee relations skills with a focus on engagement.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing fulfillment and distribution activities in a high-volume, high-turn environments while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
• Maintaining union-free relationships and productive interactions between management and associates.
• Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve service levels, capacity, productivity and quality.
• Managing inbound and outbound movement of product into and out of the distribution center.
• Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders (store operations, merchandising, planning; vendor community).
• Participating in annual budget and maintaining P&L responsibility for the DC network.
• Hiring, developing, and retaining DC staff to support growth and succession planning.
• Driving operational excellence and best practices to improve quality, service, cost, and safety.
• Ensuring safety, regulatory and compliance measures are met within company and global guidelines.
• Developing and monitoring KPI targets and goals.

• Managing distribution center operations while maintaining a union free environment; ensuring and maintaining direct, productive, and positive relationships between and among management and nonexempt associates

• Responsible for the hiring, development, and retention of distribution center staff to include the highest quality individuals to support continuous improvement, succession planning and future growth of the business.
