(CSE: JUSH, OTCQX: JUSHF), we are shaping the future of the cannabis industry, the fastest growing jobs sector in the U.S. The Dispensary General Manager will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operations at the retail level, including staffing, training, scheduling, buying, visual merchandising, cash management, inventory management, and compliance adherence. This position requires competence in a fast‑paced environment, strong leadership skills, and the ability to effectively interact with patients and other members of the team to ensure a positive culture and the best possible patient experience for our clientele.
Responsibilities
- Hire and develop a team passionate about medical cannabis and the service they provide
- Lead by example as an illustration of service, dedication, pace, positivity and energy
- Support and maintain Jushi’s mission and culture of positivity
- Mentor, motivate, elevate and inspire the team through training and performance reviews to meet and exceed company expectations
- Train store staff by reviewing, revising and implementing training materials, delivering training sessions and building bench depth to expedite company initiatives
- Follow established policies and procedures and execute all company programs for customer service, staff management, patient and visitor management, inventory management, cash handling, state compliance, and safety and security guidelines
- Identify and develop process improvements to support company growth
- Create thoughtful store scheduling to drive revenue while controlling overhead costs
- Perform daily inventory audits and record daily and monthly category sales to ensure accuracy
- Oversee end‑of‑month inventory reconciliations and report discrepancies in real‑time
- Develop strong vendor relationships and maintain proper inventory levels
- Ensure accuracy of all cash handling in the front and back of house
- Guide patients and employees with cannabis recommendations, including product selection, effects, potency, dosing, methods of consumption, and administration
- Handle employee or customer concerns and complaints diplomatically while coordinating with the Regional Dispensary Manager, Marketing Team, and Inventory Team
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of cannabis, its forms, chemical composition, effects, dosing, titrations, methods of consumption, and quality metrics
- Present a professional image in appearance, actions, and words
- Abide by city and state regulations at all times
- Receive deliveries, build purchase orders, and maintain accurate records
- Complete daily and weekly tasks assigned by the Dispensary Regional Manager
- Maintain neatness, organization, and overall cleanliness of the store
- Attract customers through display ideas, construction, and merchandising on the sales floor
- Troubleshoot MJ Freeway, coupons, and patient issues diplomatically
- Evaluate competition by visiting stores and gathering information on style, quality, and prices
- Support employee initiatives and team building activities
- Support off‑ and on‑hour events and specials
- Report real‑time product or store issues to the Regional Dispensary Manager, Inventory Manager, and Director of Retail Operations
- Work closely with the team to run a clean, smooth, efficient, and compliant store, while upholding the “BEYOND / HELLO” mission, values, and positive culture
Qualifications
- High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) mandatory
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in any field preferred
- Experience or coursework in biology, medicine, horticulture, agriculture, business, management, or hospitality
- Minimum of five years combined experience in dispensary, call center, retail, sales, hospitality, or customer service
- Excellent computer and technical skills, including use of web browsers, retail POS systems, and credit card processing terminals
- Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, mathematical, language, and reasoning skills
- Comfortable with high‑volume cash handling and basic arithmetic
- Ability to perform desk‑based computer tasks and frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, grasping, and lifting up to 25 pounds
- Must work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime
- Willingness to provide coverage outside of the assigned region when needed
- Work in a moderately to loudly noisy environment
