Slim Chickens Nevada seeks an experienced General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, build a high-performing team, and deliver outstanding guest experiences in Sparks, NV. You will balance service excellence with strong business performance and community involvement.

You will recruit, train, and mentor staff, manage labor and costs, uphold food safety standards, and drive profitability through strategic initiatives and exceptional leadership.

What You'll Do

Restaurant Leadership & Operations

• Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and compliance with company standards.
• Lead and develop a high-performing management team and restaurant staff.
• Maintain exceptional standards for food quality, cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction.
• Monitor restaurant performance and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure smooth operations across front-of-house, back-of-house, and drive-thru service.
• Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
• Lead by example and foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented workplace culture.

Team Development & Employee Management

• Lead recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, and development of restaurant employees.
• Coach and mentor Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, and Team Members to strengthen performance and leadership capabilities.
• Establish clear expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and promote accountability.
• Oversee employee scheduling and staffing to meet operational needs and labor goals.
• Conduct team meetings and communicate performance expectations, company initiatives, and operational priorities.
• Promote employee engagement, teamwork, and professional growth.

Financial & Business Performance

• Take ownership of restaurant performance, including sales, labor expenses, food costs, and operational efficiency.
• Monitor sales trends, forecasts, and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, vendor deliveries, and food waste to maintain cost controls.
• Review financial and operational reports to support informed business decisions.
• Oversee payroll accuracy, scheduling efficiency, and labor management.
• Implement strategies to increase sales, improve profitability, and enhance restaurant performance.

Guest Experience & Brand Standards

• Create an environment where every guest receives exceptional service and genuine Southern hospitality.
• Address guest concerns professionally and implement solutions that strengthen customer satisfaction.
• Ensure consistent execution of Slim Chickens' food preparation, presentation, and service standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming restaurant environment.
• Represent the Slim Chickens brand with professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm.
• Serve as a local community brand ambassador, building strong relationships with schools, and community organizations to increase brand awareness, strengthen community engagement, and drive restaurant traffic.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant management experience required; General Manager or comparable leadership experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, labor management, inventory control, and financial performance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong commitment to food safety, operational excellence, and guest satisfaction.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Experience with restaurant POS systems, scheduling software, and inventory management tools preferred.
