Job summary

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases is seeking a General Manager to direct day-to-day manufacturing operations and lead a team of directors and managers. You will oversee budgeting, resource allocation, safety, and quality while driving efficiency and customer satisfaction across global operations.

The role requires 10+ years of manufacturing leadership, a strong strategic mindset, and ability to collaborate with senior management on business growth initiatives; domestic/international travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of manufacturing management experience; rotating equipment experience preferred.

Job Overview

The General Manager, reporting to the President - Nikkiso Cryogenic Pumps Functional Unit, directs operations through a team of directors and functional managers. This role is responsible for running the day-to-day operations and employee interactions to run an effective manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring all departments meet their performance targets.
• Optimize the use of manpower, materials, and machines to achieve operational goals.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation to ensure efficient use of resources.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
• Promote a safe working environment and enforce safety protocols and procedures.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining quality standards and meeting delivery timelines.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
• Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development.
• Analyze and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
• Ensures compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery.
• Determines operations head count needs and ensures compliance with company policies.
• Ensures compliance with company needs for capital investments and improvement projects.
• Support the professional growth and development of team members through regular training and performance evaluations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
• 10 + years of manufacturing management experience; experience with rotating equipment manufacturing preferred.

Travel:

• Both domestic and international travel is required (less than 30%)

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. may be required
