Role Summary:
The General Manager owns the Branch P&L for their assigned region and carries full accountability for business performance, including revenue growth, profitability, and operational results. The General Manager provides leadership across both commercial and operational functions, guiding sales teams while collaborating closely with operations leadership to execute strategic initiatives. The position is responsible for driving sustainable growth, optimizing business performance, and ensuring a high-quality customer experience across the region.
Role Responsibilities:
- Evaluate revenue performance, customer demand patterns, competitive activity, and market opportunities to optimize business results and sales effectiveness.
- Strengthen sales team capability through coaching, mentoring, targeted development programs, and regular performance feedback that supports professional growth.
- Collaborate with branch operations leadership to create a customer service culture within the branch and enhance overall customer experience and identify process improvements to increase efficiency or reduce costs.
- Support workforce planning and talent acquisition efforts by helping determine staffing requirements and ensuring resources are aligned to meet business commitments.
- Review and evaluate leadership team performance against established objectives, providing guidance and accountability to drive strong outcomes.
- Perform additional leadership and operational responsibilities as needed to support regional objectives and organizational priorities.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- At least 10 years of experience in Sales with a proven track record and demonstrated success in a sales-driven environment.
- Prior responsibility for leading, coaching, or supervising sales professionals and driving sales team performance.
- Strong commercial mindset and business acumen with the ability to make sound business decisions, balance competing priorities, and maintain a customer‑centric approach.
- Proven capability to lead, motivate, and develop high‑performing teams while facilitating their ongoing development.
- Proficiency with business applications, including Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of market dynamics and competitor and customer landscape in healthcare distribution space is strongly preferred.
- P&L ownership experience (made pricing, expense, and investment decisions)
- Experience across customer service, account management, and/or business asset management functions.
