Job summary

Steak ’n Shake in Forsyth, Illinois is seeking a General Manager to join our Franchisee Partner Program and work toward ownership. This full-time role offers up to $80,000 annually and a clear path to becoming a store owner through our partnership model.

As GM, you’ll lead from the floor, drive performance, recruit and train high-performing teams, uphold hospitality and food safety standards, and use data to improve speed, guest scores, and costs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QSR or fast-casual GM experience.
• Fluency in P&L management—you can quote food cost, labor %, and comp trends from memory.
• Hands-on leadership style; comfortable on the grill, in the window, wherever needed.
• Consistent work history; builders preferred over job-hoppers.
• Owner’s mindset: every dollar, every guest, every team member matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide gold-standard service and the most hospitable experience for guests.
• Lead the team from the floor across production, drive-through, and dining room.
