Job summary

MW Components, Inc. in Columbus, OH seeks an executive leader to drive strategic direction and world-class safety culture, while guiding senior teams and ensuring customer-focused operations.

You will manage budgeting, ROI, and profitability, lead Lean initiatives, and align sales, engineering, and manufacturing to grow market share and deliver outstanding results. A strong background in ERP, financial stewardship, and talent development is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of practical work experience.

  • Lean Manufacturing experience and success with Lean processes.

  • Sales management experience and demonstrable ability to grow revenue profitably.
  • Excellent financial skills with the ability to read and manage Cash Flow, Income Statements, and Balance Sheets.
  • Solid grasp of ERP systems for product costing and profitability drivers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Participate in setting and executing the strategic direction of the organization
  • Act as the primary leader of the units’ safety culture always ensuring a world class emphasis on employee safety
  • Evaluate, manage, and motivate all direct reports with a strong emphasis on accountability, planning, organization, preparation, follow-up and internal communication
  • Drive the organization to exceed customer expectations for on-time delivery, quality and responsiveness to engineering challenges that may stretch the company’s capabilities to satisfy a unique customer challenge
  • Establish, monitor and manage Key Performance Indicators for Manufacturing, Quality and Inside Sales.
  • Work closely with the Outside Sales organization to ensure that the Business Unit is providing them the credibility and marketplace support to capture market share and dominate weaker and less responsive competitors
  • Lead a culture of collaboration with all other functional areas to ensure effective communication and teamwork
  • Provide strong leadership to employees ensuring high morale, teamwork and good employee relations, at all levels
  • Actively participate in the annual budgeting process, holding departments and individuals accountable for achieving budgeted results
  • Assess all capital needs, be they for growth or preventative maintenance, budget appropriately and ensure that the return on investment is presented in a professional and highly detailed manner
  • Lead the efforts to identify waste and inefficiency and develop actions to enhance productivity while reducing costs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key executives at existing customers and work closely with Sales in closing new business
  • Plan, develop and implement organizational policies and procedures
  • Communicate clearly and directly with employees concerning performance expectations, productivity, and accountability
  • Develop employees for future advancement
  • Act as a leader of the company culture, demonstrating a commitment to the company’s vision and the spirit of the organization

  • Must have a solid grasp of ERP system(s) for product costing and understanding critical drivers of profitability by customer and part number.
