Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily operations of the dog resort, including guest check‑ins, check‑outs, and overall facility management
• Lead and motivate staff members in providing top‑tier pet care, grooming, training, and customer service
• Ensure compliance with animal handling procedures, restraint protocols, and safety standards to guarantee the well‑being of dogs and staff
• Manage scheduling, staffing levels, and training programs to maintain efficient and effective team performance
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout the facility
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve concerns promptly, and foster positive relationships with pet owners
• Coordinate veterinary care or veterinary technician services when needed to support health and wellness initiatives

Requirements

• Proven experience in dog handling, pet grooming, pet sitting or animal care roles such as veterinary technician, veterinary assistant, or dog boarding
• Strong knowledge of dog training techniques and animal behavior management
• Experience with kennel operations or animal shelter management is highly desirable
• Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly to handle supplies or assist with dogs as needed
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing teams in fast‑paced environments
• Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and proper pet care procedures
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as required by the resort schedule
