Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking a Mid-Level Automotive Technician in Garden Grove, CA. The role offers an hourly wage of $19.00 to $24.00 and opportunities to grow with Goodyear’s Just Tires network.

In this hands-on position, you’ll diagnose issues, perform brake repairs, diagnose and service vehicles, and deliver excellent guest service. Walk-in interviews are welcome on specified days and times, with benefits including medical, 401(k), and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of automotive experience including brake repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years old.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform line technician services, routine inspections/maintenance, diagnostics and problem-solving.
• Brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, wheel alignments and tire installation.
• Provide excellent guest service and mentor junior automotive technicians.
• Document all work on repair orders.
• Report safety issues to management.
• Promote teamwork to deliver timely guest care during operating hours.
• Maintain adherence to company policy on vehicle care and operation.
• Perform manual tasks including lifting tires/wheels and other strenuous motions.

General Description

As a General Maintenance Technician, you will gain hands‑on experience in one of Just Tires centers by utilizing a mechanical aptitude to diagnose technical issues while delivering outstanding service. You will also become familiar with brakes, alignments, and continually learn in the rapidly changing automotive industry.

Responsibilities Will Include, But Not Be Limited To

• Perform line technician services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, and problem-solving,
• Including brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, preventative maintenance, wheel alignments, and tire installation
• Demonstrate excellent guest service, which includes providing clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles Provide guidance and mentoring to junior automotive technicians
• Document all work performed on the repair order
• Report any safety issues immediately to management
• Promote teamwork to deliver times and accurate guest care during all operating hours
• Maintain strict adherence to Company policy on vehicle care and operation
• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, including consumer tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of automotive experience including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenance
• Valid driver's license
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• No relocation is being offered for this position
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• ASE Certification
• Previous experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests
• Previous electrical, air conditioning, and primary and advanced fuel ignition experience
