Job summary

WinnCompanies is seeking General Maintenance Technicians - Flooring Specialist I for our team at Fort Campbell, KY. The role focuses on high-velocity, production-quality floor installations, repairs, and maintenance, including carpet, vinyl, and related materials, with safety as a priority.

You will perform COM work, handle repairs in occupied homes, operate power tools, and coordinate with supervisors to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years of flooring experience.
• A current driver's license in good standing.
• Proficiency in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or appliances.
• Ability to qualify as 'skilled' based on assessment in flooring cleaning, repair, and installation.
• Ability to provide basic tools and equipment necessary to perform daily duties.
• Basic familiarity with computers and web-based applications.

• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
• In accordance with the REAL ID Act, a REAL ID compliant driver's license/ID is required to access the federal facility.

Responsibilities

• Install LVP, rolled goods, and sheet vinyl on production schedules with high quality.
• Complete full home and partial home installs at high velocity.
• Repair, clean, and install flooring (carpet, hard surface or other) in occupied homes.
• Perform demolition of flooring or work on skilled projects, including ceramic and hard wood repairs or installations, as well as sub-floor repairs.
• Complete service calls and COM work.
• Complete repairs as directed by immediate supervisor or other organization management representatives.
• Transport, install, and connect stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, and other electrical and gas appliances.
• Transport equipment, furnishings and appliances to job sites, load and unload trucks.
• Respond to and complete on-call after hours emergency and urgent repairs.
• Operate power tools and power equipment.
• Update work order status, including time, materials, and notes on mobile devices provided accurately and timely.
• Keep supervisor well-informed of activities, results, and potential problems, while recommending corrective actions to supervisor.
• Work cooperatively and conduct oneself professionally when in contact with customers, staff, sub/contractors, monitors, and the public.

About the opportunity

WinnCompanies is searching for General Maintenance Technicians - Flooring Specialist I to join our team located at Fort Campbell, KY.

In this role, you will assist perform high velocity, production quality installations of floors, primarily during COM (Change of Occupancy Maintenance), while also performing repairs, cleaning, or installations, either at COM or as resident service requests. You will also install carpet, carpet tiles, VCT, LVT, vinyl, linoleum, or other flooring materials and ensure that all service is performed safely and results in favorable customer feedback.

Additionally, please note that this position is located at a federal facility. In accordance with the REAL ID Act, effective May 7, 2025, a REAL ID compliant driver's license/ID is required in order to access the federal facility.
