Job summary

JLL is seeking an entry-level General Maintenance Technician to support our SC location in Greenwood. You will help maintain conveyors and automated equipment, perform routine preventive maintenance, and support production goals in a dynamic facilities team environment.

This role offers growth opportunities and requires a willingness to learn, with a day shift schedule Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of maintenance experience with conveyors, case sealers, labelers, and printers.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including day shift (Mon-Fri, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM), weekends and holidays.
• Physical capability to lift up to 49 pounds and perform repetitive movements.
• Work in varying conditions including dust, fumes, temperature changes, noise and concrete floors.
• Manual dexterity for precise tasks and foot pedal operation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot conveyors, case sealers, labelers, and printers to ensure continuous production operations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on automated systems and Material Handling Equipment to minimize downtime.
• Manage work orders efficiently and coordinate with specialized support teams as needed.
• Interpret blueprints and schematics for equipment maintenance, repairs, and facility improvements.
• Implement and enforce safety standards for all Material Handling Equipment per OEM requirements.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and adapt to changing priorities during shifts.

General Maintenance Technician - JLL

What this job involves:

Seeking a motivated General Maintenance Technician to support operations at our South Carolina location. This entry-level position offers excellent room for growth and development as a key member of our facilities team. You will play an essential role in ensuring equipment reliability and maintaining our production environment. This position requires a willingness to learn and handle various maintenance tasks, from equipment upkeep to warehouse improvements. You'll work alongside experienced technicians to keep our automated systems running smoothly, supporting production goals, and maintaining a safe, efficient facility that enables our client's success.

What your day-to-day will look like:

Maintain and troubleshoot conveyors, case sealers, labelers, and printers to ensure continuous production operations. Perform preventative maintenance on automated systems and Material Handling Equipment to minimize downtime. Manage work orders efficiently and coordinate with specialized support teams as needed. Interpret blueprints and schematics for equipment maintenance, repairs, and facility improvements. Implement and enforce safety standards for all Material Handling Equipment in accordance with OEM requirements. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and adapt to changing priorities throughout the shift. Utilize various tools and equipment while working in diverse facility conditions to maintain operational excellence.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience with conveyors, case sealers, labelers, and printers
• Ability to work flexible schedules including day shift (Monday -Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM), weekends, and holidays
• Physical capability to lift up to 49 pounds, perform repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and standing/walking throughout shift
• Ability to work in varying conditions including small spaces, dust, fumes, temperature fluctuations, noise, and concrete floors
• Manual dexterity for eye/hand coordination, foot pedals, and precision tasks (picking, pinching, holding, grasping)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience with automated conveyors, controls, and electrical wiring
• 1+ year conducting preventative maintenance programs and reading blueprints/schematics
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Knowledge of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards per Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) requirements

Location: Onsite - South Carolina

Work Shift: Day Shift - Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM
