Your Role

The General Machine Operator is responsible for operating mechanical or automated machinery for producing high-performance and severe-duty brake, clutch, and transmission applications. Duties include operating various manufacturing presses, grinders, or other machinery. This position may be on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform operations safely
• Review equipment at shift start to ensure proper working order
• Ensure materials are ready and report shortages
• Adjust equipment parameters as per the router
• Operate machinery as specified in the router
• Conduct quality checks according to the control plan
• Complete hourly boards and document issues, identifying opportunities for improvement
• Monitor equipment for optimal operation and report issues
• Maintain and clean equipment before and after shifts
• Perform preventative maintenance as specified
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma
• At least one year of manufacturing experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain high energy levels
• Strong attention to detail
• Motivated self-starter capable of working independently and following instructions
• Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
• Reliable attendance and good work performance
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude
• Experience reading routers, bills of materials, and work instructions
• Flexibility and willingness to learn
