Job summary

Gallagher Bassett seeks a General Liability Claims professional to analyze, investigate, and resolve claims across the United States. This hybrid role requires licensure in NY, TX, or FL and location in Carrolton, TX; Downers Grove, IL; or St Peters, MO.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of claims experience, strong customer service, and knowledge of industry standards. The role emphasizes collaboration with clients and timely outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Apply claims management experience to analyze claims exposure, plan the proper course of action, and resolve claims.
• Interact with parties involved in the claim process to ensure effective communication and resolution.
• Provide exceptional customer service to claimants on behalf of clients with empathy throughout the claims process.
• Handle claims in accordance with client and company policies, procedures, and ethical requirements.
• Document and communicate claim activity timely to support the outcome of the claim file.

Overview

Role specifics:

- Jurisdictions: Entire US

- Licenses: Required - TX, FL, NY Preferred

- Location: Hybrid 2x per week in the following locations - Carrolton, TX, Downers Grove, IL, or St Peters, MO. This role is not eligible for fully remote work.

How you'll make an impact

• Apply claims management experience to execute decision-making to analyze claims exposure, plan the proper course of action, and appropriately resolve claims.
• Interact extensively with various parties involved in the claim process to ensure effective communication and resolution.
• Provide exceptional customer service to our claimants on behalf of our clients exhibiting empathy through each step of the claims process
• Handle claims consistent with clients' and corporate policies, procedures, and standard methodologies in accordance with statutory, regulatory, and ethics requirements.
• Document and communicate claim activity timely and efficiently, supporting the outcome of the claim file.

About You

Ideal candidates for this position will have:

• Claims Background: General Liability Claims such as Restaurant and Retail premises, food borne illness, slip and fall type claims.
• Jurisdictional Experience: United States
• Active Adjusters' licenses: Required - NY, TX, FL preferred
• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve General Liability claims, applying your claims experience and analytical skills to make informed decisions and bring claims to resolution.
• Work in partnership with our clients to deliver innovative solutions and enhance the claims management process.
• Think critically, solve problems, plan, and prioritize activities to optimally serve clients.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma.
• Minimum of 3 years related claims experience.
• Appropriate licensing and/or certification in all states in which claims are being handled.
• Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
• Computer experience with related claims and business software.

DESIRED:

• Bachelor's Degree.
