gpac is assisting a well-established law firm in Alabama in their search for a General Liability Associate Attorney to join the litigation team. The role involves handling a broad range of complex matters for local and national clients.

Ideal candidate has a JD, active Alabama bar, and at least 3 years of litigation experience, including depositions and motion practice. The position offers growth within a collaborative general liability practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience in one or more of the following areas: General liability, Product liability, Premises liability.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to practice in Alabama.
• Demonstrated experience with motion practice and depositions.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while working both independently and collaboratively.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Manage general liability matters throughout the state of Alabama.
• Independently handle a full litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Conduct and defend depositions, including plaintiff and expert depositions.
• Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial.
• Draft, review, and analyze discovery requests and responses.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related filings.
• Handle court filings and service of documents, including e-filing.
• Assist with trial preparation and provide trial support as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely billing records.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to achieve client objectives.
