Boly:Welch in Seattle seeks an experienced associate attorney to focus on general liability, coverage disputes, and defense across commercial litigation, torts, and personal injury matters. The role blends litigation with strategic counseling, requiring strong writing and client-service skills in a hybrid Seattle setting.
Candidates should have 3+ years of liability experience, a JD, and active Washington Bar membership.
Your responsibilities in this role will encompass a wide range of insurance coverage matters including both litigation and strategic legal counseling. In this role, you’ll build on your knowledge in a variety of practice areas – commercial litigation, liability defense, torts, and personal injury defense. Day-to-day, you will investigate insurance claims, review discovery, take depositions, and represent clients in mediations and trials. Strong writing skills will be essential as you draft a variety of legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and coverage opinion letters. You’ll lean on your client service skills as you provide coverage advice and build lasting relationships with clients across the nation. Communication skills will also be key to developing collaborative relationships with your colleagues in local and national offices.
