Job summary

Yard Techs in Southern California is seeking a reliable Landscape Technician to join our expanding team. You’ll perform irrigation and lighting repairs, install landscape features, and manage plants from flats to box trees, using a range of tools and equipment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Irrigation & Lighting: Repairing and installing irrigation systems and landscape lighting.
• Plant Management: Shopping for, delivering, and installing plants from flats to 36-inch box trees.
• Tool Mastery: Safely operating blowers, string trimmers, chain saws, and hedge trimmers.
• Physical & Independent Work: Carrying up to 50 pounds and driving to jobsites for extended periods.
• Maintenance: Keeping equipment clean and in top working order.

A Day in the Life

Every morning, you will face a set of challenges that if completed will transform ordinary yards into vibrant works of art. Whether it’s repairing intricate irrigation systems, installing innovative landscape lighting, or shopping and delivering a range of plants from annual flats to 36-inch box trees, every task is a new chapter in a rewarding career. You will take pride in mastering tools— from blowers and string trimmers to chain saws and hedge trimmers. You will be trusted to drive our trucks and vans long distances to jobsites where you will be valued for your hard work. This job is not easy, you will drive long distances, work hard, and face challenges.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Once you’ve completed our comprehensive training, you’ll be empowered to work independently and confidently tackle a variety of tasks, including:

• Irrigation & Lighting: Repairing and installing new irrigation systems and landscape lighting
• Plant Management:Shopping for, delivering, and installing plants ranging from annual flats to 36-inch box trees
• Tool Mastery: Using common landscape tools and safely operating equipment like chain saws, pole saws, and hedge trimmers for pruning
• Physical & Independent Work:Carrying up to 50 pounds, driving trucks and vans for extended periods, and evaluating property needs to develop creative landscape solutions
• Maintenance:Keeping equipment clean and in top working order
