Job summary

Packaging-Corporation-of-America is hiring general plant labor at our New Oxford container facility. The role supports manufacturing operations, helps increase productivity, and reduces downtime and waste.

You will join a team that follows strict safety rules and 5S standards on the shop floor. Candidates should be prepared to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, overtime and weekends as needed, and must maintain good attendance while complying with all safety protocols, including lock-out tag-out

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must be willing to work the first and second shift.
• Must have a good attendance record.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• May be required to stack parts up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.

WE ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR GENERAL PLANT LABOR ON 2ND AND 3RD SHIFTS IN OUR NEW OXFORD CONTAINER FACILITY

Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste.

Assume active role in overall plant and facilities-related work. Position requires assisting all jobs on the plant floor.

Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.

Maintain shop and shop equipment per 5S Standards.

Other duties as assigned.

May be required to stack parts up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Graduate or GED.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment is preferred.
