Job summary

Jet Container in Columbus, OH, is seeking a production laborer to work with corrugated material on the first shift (6 am–2 pm). You'll measure, cut, and assemble boxes, operate basic production equipment, and help maintain a safe, organized warehouse.

Candidates should be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 60 pounds; wear PPE; and record production data accurately. Expect a hands-on role in a dynamic manufacturing environment with quality and safety as priorities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Measure, cut, and/or assemble the material to produce boxes
• Ensure proper abatement techniques according to regulations
• Shape materials to the prescribed measurement using the assigned equipment
• Give input to the warehouse supervisor on the status of warehouse workers on any performance issues, including productivity, attendance, safety, or quality, as noted
• May be required to operate production machines in the warehouse
• Requires maneuvering up to 60 pounds of material
• Accurately record production data
• First Shift Mondays - Fridays 6 am - 2 pm

Perform other duties as required or assigned by the Production Manager or Supervisor

Requirements

• Adhere to all safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift.
• Frequently required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, and reach while performing job duties.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and finished products weighing up to 60 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to use hands and fingers for handling, grasping, assembling, and operating tools and production equipment.
• Ability to visually inspect materials and products for quality and accuracy.
• Capable of working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to noise, dust, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.
• Must be able to safely operate and move around production equipment and warehouse areas.
