Dem-Con Companies, LLC is seeking an Equipment Operator/General Laborer to support our Grand Rapids transfer station. You will provide customer service to residential and commercial customers, assist with scaling and ticketing, and help manage inbound and outbound materials while maintaining safety and efficiency on site.

Responsabilidades

• Provide customer service to all customers including both commercial and residential.
• Assist with scaling and residential punch ticketing operations.
• Load outbound trailers and feed recycling into the compactor trailer.
• Push up loads of MSW, Recycling and C&D.
• Spot check for hazards and ensure items are directed to proper disposal areas.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the building.
• Regulate traffic flow in and out of the transfer station.

Description

The Equipment Operator/ General Laborer is responsible for providing customer service to all customers, assisting with scaling and ticketing operations, loading outbound trailers, pushing up material piles, assisting in regulating traffic flow in and out of the transfer station. Interacting with customers and providing customer service in a professional and respectable manor.

• Providing customer service to all customers including both commercial and residential customers
• Assisting with scaling and residential punch ticketing operations
• Assisting residents with disposal, locations for proper disposal and general questions
• Flexible schedule to include Saturday work days with scheduled days off during the week
• Load trucks out of the load out pit and feed recycling into compactor trailer
• Push up loads of MSW, Recycling and C&D
• Clean load pit daily
• Ensure tires or appliances pulled are transferred to designated areas
• Spot check to ensure there are no hazardous materials, or non-recyclable items in load
• Complete pre trip inspections and perform preventive maintenance and inspect fluids and hoses on assigned equipment
• Maintain cleanliness both inside and outside of the building, manually or by use of equipment
• Ensure customers are directed to the proper location for disposal of items

Requirements

Education and/or experience:

1. High school diploma or GED

2. Previous experience with heavy or light equipment

Required Qualifications:

• Good customer service and communication skills
• Ability to learn and operate other heavy equipment
• Perform other job duties in with proper training
• May be required to obtain various certifications related to assigned area of responsibility
