Job summary

Simplot Company in Grand Forks, ND is hiring a General Laborer (Crew B) to help keep plant equipment clean, sanitary, and safe; work across areas to support efficient operation.

You will follow safety SOPs, participate in training, and assist with Wet End and Distribution teams, with a competitive pay of $20.28/hour and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Math calculations and basic arithmetic for adjustments.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and SOPs.
• Willingness to participate in training activities.

Responsibilities

• Ensures there is no injury to self or others by following safe work practices (including Standard Operating Procedures) and policies.
• Food safety is everyone’s responsibility
• Attend and participate in all training activities for the position and ensure the acquired skills and knowledge are applied.
• Ensures sanitation of equipment and housekeeping of the entire facility
• Must be a team player and help to meet operational goals.
• Performs all such other duties as may be reasonably assigned by Manager.
• Assists the Wet End Team with each product line.
• Assists the Distribution Team with palletizing.
• Assists with shut downs, start ups, and cleaning tasks.

Summary

This position will ensure that theplantequipment and surrounding areasare keptclean, sanitary,and safe.General Laborers work anywhere necessary to help the plant operate efficiently. These duties should be performed ina manner consistent with safety,qualityand production goals.

Key Responsibilities

Typical Education

High school graduate or equivilent

• Must have completed the Job Skill Evaluation successfully
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, divisions and calculate percentages to make proper adjustment as required
• Must have an acceptable safety record.
• Must have an acceptable attendance record.
• Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
