Job summary

The Simplot Company is hiring General Laborers at our GF Plant in Grand Forks, United States. This entry-level role supports various operations, emphasizes safety and sanitation, and requires participation in training to apply new skills.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must have completed the Job Skill Evaluation successfully.
• Must be able to demonstrate basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and percentages.
• Must have an acceptable safety record.
• Must have an acceptable attendance record.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensures there is no injury to self or others by following safe work practices (including SOPs) and policies.
• Food safety is everyone’s responsibility.
• Attend and participate in all training activities for the position and ensure the acquired skills and knowledge are applied.
• Ensures sanitation of equipment and housekeeping of the entire facility.
• Must be a team player and help to meet operational goals.
• Performs all such other duties as may be reasonably assigned by Manager.
• Assists the Wet End Team with each product line.
• Assists the Distribution Team with palletizing.
• Assists with shut downs, start ups, and cleaning tasks.
