Job summary

Loenbro is seeking a dependable Fabrication Shop Laborer in Casper, WY to support daily shop operations. You will assist fabricators and shop personnel with material handling, equipment setup, and general labor to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality work.

The role requires a strong work ethic, safety focus, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Prior fabrication shop experience and forklift familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma is required.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment of varying weights.
• Ability to work physically demanding environment and stay on feet for extended periods.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist fabricators, welders, and shop personnel with daily fabrication activities.
• Load, unload, move, and stage raw materials, fabricated components, and equipment within the shop.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, and other shop equipment under supervision.
• Prepare materials for fabrication by cleaning, organizing, measuring, and marking components.
• Support cutting, fitting, and assembly operations as directed by shop supervision.
• Maintain shop cleanliness through housekeeping and organization of work areas.
• Assist with receiving, inventory, and storage of materials and supplies.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment when properly trained and authorized.
• Inspect tools and equipment for safe operation and report maintenance concerns.
• Follow fabrication drawings, work instructions, and supervisor direction.
• Adhere to all company safety policies, JHA, and PPE requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support fabrication shop operations.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will assist fabricators, welders, and shop personnel with material handling, equipment setup, shop organization, and general labor activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing and fabrication environment.

• Assist fabricators, welders, and shop personnel with daily fabrication activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

• GED or High School Diploma.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment of varying weights.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and remain on feet for extended periods.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in a fabrication shop, manufacturing facility, or industrial construction environment.
• Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
• Basic knowledge of fabrication tools, equipment, and shop safety practices.
• Skilled in basic math, including measurements, fractions, and reading a tape measure.
• Able to pass preliminary and periodic drug testing.

• Exposure to noise levels above 85 decibels.
• Potential exposure to hot and cold temperatures depending on shop conditions.
• Operation around overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
• Work performed around steel, piping, structural components, and fabricated assemblies.

This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
