Job Summary

Under supervision, this position will perform a variety of general tasks including grinding, blasting, cleaning, and supporting shop needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform all tasks safely and responsibly, complying with company policies.
2. Determine the uses of personal protective equipment (PPE) and identify safety procedures related to work practices and the environment.
3. Complete work using the MRP Network, including loading and unloading materials, parts, or products onto or from pallets, skids, conveyors, or trucks, manually or using a forklift.
4. Use the MRP system to clock in and out of jobs during setup and completion.
5. Lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
6. Remove burrs or excess metal from machined parts using files, sandpaper, emery cloth, or grinding tools.
7. Add coolant to machine reservoirs and lubricate machine parts using grease guns and oil cans.
8. Reclaim oils from machines by pumping, separating, and draining used oil to remove metal chips and dirt.
9. Clean machine surfaces and work areas, removing debris, chips, and scrap materials for resale.
10. Change filters on equipment and HVAC units.
11. Maintain knowledge of R-Techs staging locations for parts in process and finished parts.
12. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
13. Note: May be asked to work in other shop areas depending on production needs.
