Job summary

JC Pallet, located at Barhamsville, VA, is seeking a laborer to join its manufacturing team. The role involves cleaning the loading dock, restacking pallets on trailers, sweeping trailers, and performing other assigned tasks in a production environment.

Work is performed in a facility with moving machinery and forklift traffic, and safety equipment is required. Typical shift is Monday–Friday, 7am to 5pm, with potential variation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures the loading dock is clean
• Help with the unloading process of trailers (restack pallets, pick up wood material, etc.)
• Sweep out and clean trailers
• Other tasks that are assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Frequent lifting and bending of nothing more than 40 lbs.
• Ability of standing and walk for extended periods of time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• The work environment consists of occasional extreme temperature shifts ranging from very cold to very hot.
• Exposure to dust and loud noise (hearing protection is provided).
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and moving forklifts.

WORK SCHEDULE:

• Monday - Friday 7am until at least 5pm sometimes later, sometimes earlier
