Job summary

Packaging-Corporation-of-America is seeking a hands-on team member to support our manufacturing operation on the plant floor. You will join a collaborative crew focused on productivity, safety, and quality, and participate in keeping lines running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, is willing to work first or second shift, overtime, and weekends as needed, and can communicate clearly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support a manufacturing operation to increase productivity and reduce downtime and waste.
• Assist all jobs on the plant floor and participate in plant/facilities tasks.
• Follow all safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
• Maintain shop and equipment per 5S standards.
• May stack parts up to 30 lbs for up to 12 hours.
• Other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste.

Assume active role in overall plant and facilities-related work. Position requires assisting all jobs on the plant floor.

Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.

Maintain shop and shop equipment per 5S Standards.

Other duties as assigned.

May be required to stack parts up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Graduate or GED.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
