Job summary

Emerge in Newark, NY is seeking a hardworking General Laborer for the first-shift team. You'll work hands-on with various materials and tools to build, form, and assemble products in a fast-paced, safety-driven environment.

This role is ideal for individuals with a background in construction, carpentry, roofing, flooring, or interior/exterior wall installation who are dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented. Pay ranges from $18 to $19 per hour, with Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedules.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Experience with power tools and saws.
• Strong safety awareness.
• Team-oriented mindset.
• Steel-toe boots required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Measure and cut 2x4s and plywood using table saws, band saws, and circular saws
• Assemble materials using hand and power tools
• Pour refractory materials into molds
• Dry, remove, and break down forms
• Stack products manually or with a forklift/overhead crane
• Support other forming and production tasks as needed
