Job summary

Vomela is seeking a production operator to support continuous flow on the shop floor. You will read job travelers, use tracking software, inspect sheets for quality, and maintain clean, organized work areas while following MPI standards and safety policies.

You may be asked to suggest improvements to safety, quality, rates, and yields. The role requires visual acuity, color discrimination, the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 65 pounds, push/pull up to 100 pounds, and perform

Qualifications

• Vision must be correctable to 20/20.
• Must be able to accurately distinguish and identify colors.
• Must be able to stand for the duration of the scheduled shift, including overtime as required.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 65 pounds.
• Must be able to push and/or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to perform postural movements, including occasional bending, throughout the workday.

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

• Perform production operations to obtain utmost and ongoing efficiency
• Support ongoing quality improvement processes to ensure all deliverables are produced defect free and aligned with technical specifications
• Follow standard operational procedures and work practices and policies to ensure consistency of output
• Produce goods as specified on the job ticket or other instructions given by the supervisor or team leader
• Follow MPI procedures per job work center

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read and understand job traveler and utilize computer job tracking system
• Visually inspect for substandard sheets during all operations
• Maintain efficiency and quality benchmarks per MPI standards
• Request any training required for you to succeed
• Maintain organized and clean work environment
• Enter recommendations to management for improvements in areas such as personal safety improved product quality better rates and yields, or any other matters that impact shop costs or employee’s health
• Practice safe working habits as detailed in the Company Safety Manual and Employee Handbook
• Do other tasks as directed by a supervisor
