Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking a General Laborer for an outdoor recycling operation. You will sort materials, operate hand tools, and assist with processing through the yard, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

The position runs on the 1st shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Ideal candidates are hardworking, reliable, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfortable working in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in recycling, construction, landscaping, waste management, manufacturing, warehouse, or general labor is a plus.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools preferred.
• Ability to pass company screening process.

Responsibilities

• Sort and separate recyclable materials according to company guidelines.
• Remove non-recyclable items, metal screws and other metal contaminants from plastic materials.
• Cut plastic materials using a Sawzall and other approved tools as needed for processing.
• Load, unload, stack and move materials throughout the recycling yard.
• Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Support equipment operators and other team members as needed.
• Perform general cleanup and labor duties throughout the facility.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

This is a physically demanding position that requires working in varying weather conditions while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, attendance, and teamwork. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, and comfortable performing hands-on labor throughout the workday.

General Laborer Responsibilities:

• Sort and separate recyclable materials according to company guidelines

Requirements for General Laborer:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularly

• Ability to work in an outdoor work environment with varying temperatures and weather conditions
