Position Overview:

General Laborers are responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the facilities and grounds. Duties include custodial tasks in offices and maintenance shops, assisting in various lines of business, and performing physical tasks that may require prolonged standing, bending, lifting, and working in awkward positions.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain facility grounds, including mowing, trimming, and trash pickup.
2. Operate manual, electrical, and gas-powered tools and equipment.
3. Ensure safe operation of equipment according to company policies and OSHA standards.
4. Pressure-wash and perform minor repairs on waste carts, bins, and portable restrooms.
5. Assist with the organization and distribution of waste containers.
6. Transport, load, and unload containers and bins safely.
7. Support route operations as needed.
8. Maintain cleanliness in maintenance shops and offices.
9. Perform minor repairs and upkeep of facilities.
10. Clean, prepare, and paint containers.
11. Build, repair, and install erosion control measures.
12. Interact professionally with customers and team members.
13. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities:

1. Physical capability to perform tasks involving lifting, reaching, bending, and climbing.
2. Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
3. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
4. Adherence to safety regulations and policies.
5. Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Additional Conditions:

1. Work may involve exposure to high traffic areas and waste materials.
2. Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
3. Must have a valid driver’s license and be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
4. Successful completion of pre-employment testing required.
