Job summary

Vonachen Group is seeking a General Laborer for our on-site team in Illinois. The role focuses on operating power equipment, maintaining safety, and delivering high levels of customer service in a fast-paced facility environment.

The 2nd shift runs 3PM–11PM, Monday through Friday, at a starting wage of $16.50 per hour. Full benefits, daily pay option, and opportunities for growth are provided to reliable, safety-minded individuals.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and able to understand safety rules.
• Education requirement is a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions safely.

Responsibilities

• Run a sweeper/scrubber to clean factory floors.
• Safely operate a forklift and other powered equipment.
• Use aerial lifts and hand tools to support maintenance tasks.
• Assist with grounds and building maintenance and safety procedures.
• Work hours may include evenings and weekends.

Job Details

The General Laborer is responsible for operating industrial power equipment as needed to complete assigned tasks. This person is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, providing high quality service levels, adhering to company policies, and assisting to provide a safe working environment. This person must be energetic, enthusiastic, and possess great interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of people and maintain a strong commitment to customer service.

Job Responsibilities

• Run a sweeper/scrubber to clean factory floors
• Safely operate a forklift
• Operate industrial powered vehicles (e.g., golf carts or Gators)
• Operate aerial lifts to perform tasks above safe reach of a ladder (e.g., scissor lift, articulating lift)
• Operate, pneumatic, battery powered and electric hand tools
• Assist in the performance of building/equipment maintenance duties (e.g., recycling, painting, filter changes, fabrication machinery support, and coolant services)
• Perform grounds maintenance services (e.g., landscaping and snow removal)
• Maintain a safe work environment following all required safety regulations and protocols
• Complete other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Stand and walk for long periods of time; climb stairs
  • Repeat the same movements
  • Frequent bending and twisting
  • Able to lift, push & pull 50lbs
  • Work at heights to 40 feet
  • Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
