Job description

How you get to help us do that in this role

Support the construction of underground water mains, sanitary sewers, and storm sewers with hands‑on work and help keep construction sites safe.

What you’ll do
  • Ensurea clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Facilitate asmooth workflow by providing necessary materials and equipment
  • Maintain project integrity with proper assembly and installation of structures - includingcutting and assembling pipe, fittings, and accessories
  • Preparegroundwork for the installation of underground utilities and ensurestability and longevity by digging, compacting, and backfilling
  • Maintaina level and uniform surface for proper drainage and groundconditions by raking, shoveling, grading, and hand mining
  • Minimizethe risk of accidents and equipment downtime by safely operating and maintaining heavy equipment, machinery, andtools
  • Ensure precise and accurate workmanship with the use of small tools includingchain saws, cut-off saws, impact wrenches, torches, non-powered hand tools, and measuring tools
  • Confirmaccuracy and compliance with project alignment and gradespecificationsby measuring materials and grade checking
About you

  • You have yourown transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Youhave basic reading, writing, and math skills to measure, shoot grade, read and interpret grade stakes, measure and cut materials, calculate grades, read plans, follow installation guides (or the ability to learn how)
Even better (but not required) if you have
  • General construction labor experience (underground utilities, even better!)
  • Auto/equipment mechanical background
  • Welding experience
  • CDL license

  • How much travel can I expect? The amount of travelfluctuates based on where we win the opportunity to do projects. We aim to staywithin a 3 hour radius. When traveling, you can expect a 4-day work week. Wepay for lodging, per diem and a weekly dinner
  • How will I travel to get to away jobs? You will have the option to travel with the Foreman, receive gas money to drive a carpool, or travel on your own
  • Is thisseasonal or year round work? Wehaven’t laid off in 3 years, ourgoal is year‑round work
  • Is there opportunity to grow? There'salways room for growth, and that is based on what you put in, your efforts, attitude, and goals. We offer unlimited online training and also hands‑on equipment operation training
  • Can I earnovertime? Yes, and we also want you to have a personal life. You can expect to be able to earn 7-8 hours per week over 40
