Job summary

HexArmor is hiring a reliable General Laborer to support daily production at our Grand Rapids warehouse. You’ll run machines, inspect parts, and help keep the area clean while meeting daily goals. No prior manufacturing experience is required, as training is provided.

You’ll work Monday through Friday, 6:50am–3:20pm, with an emphasis on accuracy, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced production setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery as instructed by Team Leaders and/or supervisors.
• Monitor quality through the shift by inspecting each part before and after production.

• Accurately count, sort, and stack finished pieces and dispose of waste as directed.
• Follow safety requirements and company procedures.
• Read a ruler and perform basic measurement tasks.
• Perform basic arithmetic for measurements and units.

SUMMARY

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented General Laborer to join our team. In this role, you’ll run machines, check parts for quality, keep your work area clean, and help meet daily production goals. No manufacturing experience is required—we’ll train you!

LOCATION

Warehouse at HexArmor Headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan

SCHEDULE

The standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:50am - 3:20pm.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate machinery as instructed by Team Leaders and/or supervisors.
• Monitor quality through the shift by inspecting each part before and after it is produced for dirt, debris, and quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
• Accurately count, sort, and stack finished work pieces and dispose of waste material as directed by team leader or supervisor.
• Comply with all safety requirements.
• Consistently adhere to and support company policies, work instructions, ISO requirements, and other procedures.
• Ability to read a ruler and understand measurement systems.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of measure including weight and length.
• Ability to distinguish colors.
• Follow work procedures to meet production schedules.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to use small hand tools and semi-automated equipment
• Ability to carry, lift, and move up to 50 pounds
