Job summary

River Valley Coop in Fenton, IL seeks a General Laborer to assist with grain handling, agronomy operations, and general maintenance. This is a full-time, day-shift position with a pay range of $18.00 to $21.00 per hour.

You will load/unload trucks, operate grain elevators and other farm equipment, perform routine maintenance, and help with safety and record-keeping. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license. Experience in agriculture is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with grain handling operations, including loading and unloading trucks, operating grain elevators, and maintaining grain storage facilities.
• Support agronomy operations by assisting with fertilizer and chemical applications, crop scouting, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform general maintenance tasks, such as repairing equipment, cleaning work areas, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Operate machinery and equipment, such as tractors, forklifts, and other farm implements, following proper procedures and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance.
• Attend cooperative meetings and work to improve personal skills and knowledge.

This is a hands‑on role that requires physical strength and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
